The Honorary Consul General of Montenegro in Israel and businessman, Mr. Nimrod Rinot has initiated and organized the venue to represent the state of Montenegro at GATEWAY TO MONTENEGRO, the First International Conference on Economic Cooperation with Montenegro to be held in Israel. The conference will present the state of Montenegro to Israeli decision makers and will shed light on the special business possibilities this country has to offer, emphasizing issues to be addressed later as international business opportunities.
The State of Montenegro declared its independence in 2006 and since then Montenegro has made great strides and significantly fosters the state infrastructure that will be her financial engine in the near and distant future. Montenegro, still not part of the European Union but yet enjoys common economic benefits in Europe. The Euro is the currency in which all transactions take place. Today after the global financial crisis state declares a growth of 2.5% -3% per year with a positive growth forecast for next year. Investments in sectors of tourism, agriculture and energy are developing in Montenegro and with large business potential that can be a great opportunity for mutual cooperation.
GATEWAY TO MONTENEGRO conference will open with a festive cocktail attended by Israel & Montenegro's Foreign Affairs Ministers, Mr. Avigdor Lieberman and Mr. Milan Roćen who will together announce the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various fields and welcome the presentations and sessions to be held on the next day.
The Sessions are divided into three main topics: Tourism & Environmental Development, Energy & infrastructure and Agriculture along with focused panels concerning education and health among others. Integration of these topics will produce a conference as informative and applicable as possible.
The program (subject to changes) of November 24; a panel on tourism will be led by the Ministry of Tourism in Montenegro, to present the tourism in Montenegro, presenting the business complex and activities in tourism by government officials and Montenegrin companies constituting an essential part of the development of tourism in the country. Agricultural Panel will be led by the Minister of Agriculture of Montenegro, Mr. Tarzan Milosevic, to present a snapshot of agriculture in Montenegro and development options for the state residents. Panel on Energy and infrastructure will be led by the Minister of Economy of Montenegro, Dr. Vladimir Kavaric, to present the evolution of the State of Montenegro in developing modern energy with emphasis on environment, infrastructure and tenders with maximum utilization of existing state natural resources.
